Executive Headteacher, Christian Hicks, commented “We have always worked hard to make the school a great place to work as well as a great place to learn, and it is extremely pleasing to see this recognised by Ofsted. The report clearly shows that we have happy and engaged pupils who are keen to learn from our rich academic curriculum and that they are well prepared for the future when they leave eventually leave us.

Thank you to all our colleagues who have contributed so much to the school and our students. The report will serve as a springboard for further improvements as we continue to return to normality after the pandemic.”

·        Pupils are taught to treat everyone equally. As a result, there is a strong sense of harmony among the school community.

·        Pupils take seriously the school’s core values of excellence, perseverance, responsibility, and family.

·        Subject leaders have clearly identified the key knowledge they want pupils to learn. This is well-sequenced so that pupils build up their knowledge securely over time.

·        Staff are skilled at adapting lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, especially those with SEND.

·        Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary. They are keen to learn and take great pride in their work.

·        Staff work collaboratively to contribute to whole-school decision-making.

·        Leaders strive for excellence in all aspects of the school’s work.

·        Members of the governing body share leaders’ ambition for the school and support leaders to realise it.
