Pupils at The Charter School North Dulwich celebrate outstanding GCSE results

Pupils at The Charter School North Dulwich are today celebrating their GCSE results.

  • 82% of all students in Year 11 at the school gained a standard pass or above in both English and Maths (grade 4 to 9)
  • 67% gaining a strong pass in both English and Maths (grade 5 to 9)
  • 44% of all GCSEs gained by Year 11 pupils at the school this year were graded 7-9
  • 42% of pupils achieved at least five GCSEs graded 7-9
  • 49% of pupils gained the English Baccalaureate  
  • 68% of pupils gained at least one GCSE with a grade 7-9

Headteacher Christian Hicks said today; “We are extremely proud of our Year 11 students for their perseverance and commitment to excellence over the past two years that has led to these fantastic results. We are also very grateful to our teachers and support staff, as well as to parents and carers, for their hard work and support which has led to these positive outcomes for our pupils.”

Overall, the results were very positive and included several notable individual performances based on the grades they achieved and the progress they made whilst at The Charter School North Dulwich:

  • Sahar Abedipou who gained 10 GCSEs, 9 at grade 9 and one grade 8
  • Sarah Challen Flynn who gained 10 GCSEs, nine at grade 9 and one grade 8
  • Florence Hopkin Monk who gained 10 GCSEs, including eight at grade 9 and two at grade 8
  • Bilal Ceesay who gained 10 GCSEs, including one at grade 9 and four at grade 8
  • Cristabel Amankwaa-Tonto  gained 10 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and three at grade 8
  • Purdey Burton who gained 11 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and five at grade 8
  • Ryan Cheung who gained 9 GCSEs, including two at grade 8 and one grade 7
  • Meredith Woodcock who gained 10 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and three at grade 8
  • Mark Simmons who gained 10 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and two at grade 8
  • Lois Stanley who gained 10 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and three at grade 8
  • Peter Farias Lema who gained 9 GCSEs, including one at grade 8 and two at grade 7
  • Stella Steed who gained 10 GCSEs, including six at grade 9 and three at grade 8
