Student Services Receptionist

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and skilled Student Services Receptionist to join our welcoming, successful and growing school, starting in September 2025 or sooner, dependent on successful applicants availability.

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of working in a front-facing customer service or administrative role, preferably within a school or educational setting
  • Confident in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office, email, internet, and Management Information Systems (MIS) such as Bromcom
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people
  • Experience in dealing with confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and an understanding of the importance of child protection in an educational environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Understanding of the importance of a professional front-of-house presence and first impressions
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment
  • A helpful, positive, and approachable manner with a focus on providing excellent customer service
