KS2 Music Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic classroom Music Teacher who can bring their own unique ideas to our enthusiastic and hardworking team. The successful candidate will cover one day per week teaching at the school leading whole school singing and delivering the music curriculum through whole class Ukulele and Guitar sessions across KS1 & KS2. A relevant music qualification, teaching experience, and understanding of the Kodály method is desirable.

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Experience teaching music in a primary school setting
  • Strong practical ability on the **ukulele and guitar**
  • Proven experience or clear potential to lead whole-school singing
  • Ability to engage and inspire young children in musical learnin
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to inclusive and creative teaching practices
  • Positive Promotion of School Aims: Ability to promote the school's aims positively and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to develop good personal relationships within a team.
  • Community Engagement: Ability to establish and develop close relationships with parents, governors, and the community.
  • Effective Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, with clear evidence of computer literacy.
  • Learning Environment: Ability to create a safe, happy, healthy, challenging, and effective learning environment.
