Tom was previously Deputy Headteacher at The Belham Primary School before being appointed as Headteacher at Lyndhurst Primary School from September 2022.

With an academic background in Psychology and Marketing Communications, Tom has always enjoyed getting involved in launching new systems and initiatives, understanding the need for gaining staff buy-in and creating an urgency to securely embed changes.

In his time in senior leadership he has lead core subjects, supervised the transition to the new primary curriculum, developed new assessment systems, designed whole school curriculums, and trained and established a system of subject leaders.

Having also consulted for an educational publisher, he understands how to create a prescriptive and rigorous curriculum that still provides teachers with autonomy and the flexibility to adapt lessons for their setting.
