The Belham Primary School
Opened in September 2015 as part of the Free Schools programme, The Belham Primary School is at the heart of a creative, passionate and rapidly evolving community and was described as ‘a close, nurturing school' by Ofsted in 2018.
Our approach to learning ensures that standards of the National Curriculum are not only met, but that children's education is extended far beyond this. We offer a highly enriched curriculum and a wide range of experiences to foster children's curiosity about the wider world. We promote a positive, energetic, and caring atmosphere in which children feel safe and secure and want to come to school.
The visual arts, design and technology, music and drama all play different roles in helping our children develop skills for life. We draw on the incredible talents and experiences of local people, bringing learning to life with the help of artists, writers, scientists, and other professionals, and building links with local organisations.
Essential to our creative curriculum is making use of the incredible resources that London provides from museums, theatres, parks and public buildings, to the wide range of people themselves. The taught curriculum also reflects the diversity and vibrancy of the local community: socially, culturally and ethnically.
