December 20, 2019

The Charter Schools Educational Trust (“the Trust”) is the Admission Authority for The Charter School North Dulwich and The Charter School East Dulwich it recently consulted on admission arrangements for both the schools for September 2021 entry.

The consultation window closed on Friday 31st January 2020 for comments on the draft Admissions Policies 2021-2022.

The rationale for the proposed changes is:

  • To align the oversubscription criteria for The Charter School North Dulwich with those of The Charter School East Dulwich, which will admit students into Year 12 for the first time in September 2021.
  • To ensure the schools' admissions policy reflects the Trust vision of ‘transforming lives through the power of inclusive education’.
  • To support the schools' to serve the needs of families who live locally, particularly those pupils who already attend the two Charter schools in Year 11.

The Charter Schools Educational Trust have considered the responses received and, following discussion at both Local Governing Body and Trust Board level, the Trust will be implementing the proposed changes and the revised policies will be introduced for September 2021 entry to The Charter School North Dulwich and The Charter School Easst Dulwich.
